Affiliate Tracking for Your Shopify Store

Install the Affqik app, paste your API keys and turn on one theme setting. Affiliate links, discount codes and orders then flow into Affqik.

S

Built for how Shopify works

Tracks affiliate clicks

Affiliate links pass through your store's own domain, record the visit and remember it for 30 days, so a later purchase is still credited to the right affiliate.

Follows every order

New orders, fulfilments, cancellations and refunds are reported to Affqik, so commission reflects what actually happened, not just what was paid at checkout.

Syncs discount codes

Each affiliate's discount code is created in Shopify for you and kept up to date when you change a code or discount in Affqik.

Setup

Live in a few minutes

  1. 1

    Create your store in Affqik

Sign up, add your Shopify store and set your commission rate, affiliate discount and refund window.

  2. 2

Install the Affqik app, then paste the public and secret keys from your store page in Affqik and test the connection.

  3. 3

    Turn on the app embed

How sales are credited

When a shopper clicks an affiliate link, they pass briefly through your store's own Affqik link. The visit is recorded and the shopper lands on your store with the affiliate's discount already applied, so there's no code to type. The app embed remembers the visit for 30 days and attaches it to the cart, so the sale is credited even if the shopper removes the discount. A shopper who enters an affiliate's discount code directly is credited without a click, and the code takes priority over an older link visit. An order counts as completed only once it is paid and fulfilled, so your refund window starts when the goods ship. Cancellations and full refunds void the commission.

Shopify integration questions

Can't find what you need? Talk to us.

Do I manage my affiliate program inside Shopify?

No. The Affqik app is a connector only, with a single settings screen for your API keys. Affiliate approvals, commission rates, discounts, payouts and analytics are all managed in Affqik, so there is one place to run your program and nothing extra to maintain in your Shopify admin.

Why do I need to turn on the app embed?

The app embed is what remembers an affiliate's link visit on your storefront and attaches it to the shopper's cart. Without it, sales are still credited when the affiliate's discount code is used, but a sale where the shopper removed the discount could not be traced back to the link. Turning it on takes a few seconds in the theme editor.

When does the refund window start for Shopify orders?

The refund window starts when an order is both paid and fulfilled, not when payment is captured at checkout. This matches when the order is genuinely complete, so commission is never confirmed on goods that haven't shipped. An order that is never fulfilled stays pending and earns no confirmed commission.

What happens with cancellations and partial refunds?

A cancelled order or a full refund makes the commission Void, so no commission and no platform fee is charged on it. This applies even if a paid order is cancelled without a refund. A partial refund keeps the order and its commission in place, the same way Affqik handles partial refunds on WooCommerce.

Do I need to create affiliate discount codes in Shopify myself?

No. Affqik creates each affiliate's discount code in your Shopify store automatically and keeps the discount amount in sync. When you assign an affiliate a custom code in Affqik, the change is reflected in Shopify for you, so codes always match what your affiliates are sharing.
